The Bombers have started the new VIJHL campaign 0-2 and will try to swing the tide on Friday night when they visit the 1-1 Lake Cowichan Kraken. The Kraken have been on the end of two different score lines beating Nanaimo 4-1 in their season opener and then losing 12-0 to Comox last Saturday.
The Bombers have been one of the most penalized teams in the league in the early going taking 90 penalty minutes in the first 2 games so we know that would have been a focus in practice this week. Other than the penalty trouble the Bombers have looked very strong on both ends of the puck.
Expect a lockdown defensive Bomber team that fans are used to seeing as they try to get back on the right path before Saturday nights home opener against the Victoria Cougars (2-0)
