Bombers woes continue with loss to Islanders

The Port Alberni Bombers struggles continued on Saturday night at the Alberni Valley Multiplex – this time a 6-2 loss at the hands of the Kerry Park Islanders.
Trailing 2-0 after the first period, the Bombers were within striking distance, but two Islander goals before the second frame was two and a half minutes old put the locals four goals behind, a deficit that proved to be too tough to overcome.
Solstice Tennant, with his first goal of the season while killing a penalty, and Owen Ditzel with his fourth goal since joining the club five games ago, tallied for the Bombers. Jonny Timmons added two assists.
The Bombers next game is Wednesday when they play host to the Lake Cowichan Kraken in a 7:00 pm start at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
